NEWSLETTERS EXPAND EACH BLOG TOPIC (Article 6)

Remember, John 17:3 explains the central importance of knowing God and not just knowing about Him.:

“Now this is ETERNAL LIFE: that they may KNOW YOU, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent”.

Each of the many topics so far on blog.ivanrudolph.com has an accompanying newsletter to help us to know God better within that particular topic. As an example, I will copy/paste the newsletter that accompanied Topic 19 — which topic included Michael Hastings’ testimony, who you may remember from The West Wing. The newsletter, like everything else on the blog, is wanting to help each of us to know God better.

Ivan’s Comment: Michael James Hastings’ testimony at Topic 19 is outstanding for his deductions about God. Why not encourage friends to read it? Michael has just sent me this additional information.

“A year and a half prior to being picked for the captain’s role in The West Wing, I was actually running a Bible Study at my apartment in Burbank which was just a 1/2 block away from Warner Brothers Studios. Our group prayed every week for the spiritual walls to come down at Warner Brothers and for something to happen at Warner Brothers. A year and a half later, I was picked as the captain. It all seemed very unlikely, since after a year of running the Bible Study, I got sick and had to move out because I could not pay rent. My roommate had to find another Christian to move into my room, as well as someone who would continue the Bible study we were running. It turns out, the guy who moved into my room was Joel David Moore, who would later become one of the stars of the hit movie, “Avatar”.
