MICHAEL JAMES HASTINGS, USA, THE LONGEST TESTIMONY ON MY BLOG (Article 5)

You will have noticed the testimonies on blog.ivanrudolph.com vary from very short to very long — length is not important, but what you have leant about God is vital to share with all of us so that we can know God better. The longest of all the testimonies so far is that of Michael James Hastings, which I will repeat here because Michael’s thoughtful and deep analysis is helpful for each of us. At least, I have found it so.

You may recognize Michael as an actor in the TV series “The West Wing”. He received a lot of media attention on the internet from his work in that drama.

Here is one incident, reported with permission from Michael, who writes:

I will never forget an experience that took place in 1984. While juggling financial tuition at two schools — Oral Roberts University and Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma — I received letters from both schools stating that if I did not come up with $250 for each one by March 12, I would be dropped. I barely had money to live on, and this amount seemed impossible to obtain. I had only two days to come up with it, so I immediately went to prayer.
