KNOWING GOD IS NOT OPTIONAL IF YOU WANT ETERNAL LIFE!

John 17:3 explains it like this:

But how can you get to know God the Father and Jesus? Really? Most Christians know about God’s way of salvation but do not really know Him, because problems distract us and modern life drives us towards self-interest instead of personally getting to know God.

We are told “You can read your bible more to know God better.” Yes, that’s true, but most bibles lie dormant nowadays and thousands of Christians worldwide every day are turning away from God and Christianity Apostasy is rife — check out the statistics for where you live. In Australia, where I live, Mr Google tells me, “The number of people affiliated with Christianity in Australia decreased from 12.2 million (52.1%) in 2016 to 11.1 million (43.9%) in 2021.”

I have had three long emails from lovely Christian friends who tell me they no longer believe. What can be done to reverse this alarming trend?

Consider this, Christianity was at its most vibrant and successful when new converts did not have an an Old Testament (too rare and expensive) and most new converts could not read in any case, and the New Testament was not yet written. There was no John 3:16 nor other New Testament evangelical verses! How, then, were thousands becoming Christians?
