IF YOU WERE GOD, HOW COULD YOU KNOW? COMPETITION TIME!
God expects us to view the wonder of fulfilled prophecy as a definite proof of his existence and control of events over Time, as can be seen from his words in Isaiah 46:9-11
I am God and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times what is still to come. I say, “My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”
OK — then let’s do it! Let’s suppose we had made the same prophecy about ancient Tyre that God in Heaven did; how ‘on earth’ could that prophecy have been fulfilled later on in history?? What possible events could have made that prophecy come true to the last detail?
I have set this same challenge to over 200 adults who did not know previously the historical fate of Tyre. Not one has even come close to how the prophecy was actually fulfilled, but then neither had I when I first looked into it. Let’s see if you can do better. Go for it!
